Swift Wireless was established as Kachina Communications, a manufacturer of HF/SSB radio equipment, back in 1975. Times change, and with cell-phones and the Internet rapidly replacing traditional two-way radio, Kachina started Swift Wireless in December 1999.

It's a sad fact that many wireless ISPs are run by people with little understanding of radio, but Swift Wireless' long history as a radio manufacturer gives us a strong background in the complexities of designing and installing reliable, high-speed wireless networks.

In 2003 Swift Wireless became a Motorola authorized ACSP for the high-performance Motorola Canopy broadband wireless product line, and other Internet Service Providers now look to Swift Wireless to help them design and deploy thier own wireless networks. Additionally, Swift Wireless is the only ISP anywhere to provide high-speed Internet to Indy Racing League and Champ Car race teams and officials at nearly every Indy/Champ Car race held in North America since 2001.

In 2005, we now provide fixed wireless Internet service to eight Arizona communities-- with three more coming soon-- and increased our subscriber base by over 200% during 2004 alone.
